How we check teachers
- Application and interview, including questions about teaching children online and about safeguarding.
- Recitation assessment: every Quran and Tajweed teacher recites for an experienced assessor and passes the Evaz recitation test.
- Qualification and reference checks: we ask for evidence of the studies a teacher lists and contact at least two references.
- Safeguarding training before the first class, and a signed code of conduct.
- Observed lessons: new teachers are observed during their first weeks and regularly after that.
We are recruiting female teachers for girls and women. Families can ask for a female or male teacher in the trial class form.
