To report a concern now, write to our Designated Safeguarding Lead at safeguarding@evaz.online. If a child is in immediate danger, call 112 (EU) or 999 (UK). Childline UK: 0800 1111. The European child helpline number is 116 111.
Our commitments
- Every teacher is checked before teaching, completes safeguarding training and signs our code of conduct.
- Classes take place only on academy-controlled video accounts, with a waiting room.
- Teachers do not hold children's phone numbers or social-media contacts. All messages go to parents through the academy.
- For children under 13, a parent or guardian is at home during the lesson; for children under 10, a parent is in the room at the start and end.
- Classes are not recorded unless a parent gives written consent; recordings are made and kept only by the academy, for a limited time.
- Teachers never shout at, shame, threaten or physically punish a learner.
How to raise a concern
Anyone (a parent, a learner, a teacher or a visitor) can raise a concern about a child's safety or about the behaviour of anyone connected with the academy. Write to safeguarding@evaz.online. Concerns go straight to the Designated Safeguarding Lead, never through the teacher involved. We acknowledge every concern on the same day where possible, and within one working day at the latest.
Who is responsible
Designated Safeguarding Lead: [name, to be appointed]. Deputy: [name, to be appointed]. The DSL lives in Europe and can contact the authorities in the child's country when needed.
If anyone claiming to be from Evaz contacts your child privately, do not reply and tell us straight away.
